Recap of Safety Automation Forum 2011

Close to 350 people worldwide attended the fourth annual Safety Automation Forum, in Chicago, IL November 14 & 15. The event opened on Monday with technical sessions focused on legal considerations, the new safety ROI tool and risk assessments. As apart of the registration fee, attendees were invited to dinner and blues with Dan King Kahn at Chicago's Shedd Aquarium.

Tuesday opened with a keynote address from David Sarkus, MS, CSP, author and safety coach on creating and sustaining a world class safety culture. David has moved and and motivated thousands of workers to become safer, healthier and more productive and he was the perfect speaker to kick off the second day's impressive line up of customers and presenters the included: L'Oreal, PepsiCo, General Motors, Curt G. Joa, Malt-O-Meal, The Mexican Institute of Petroleum and Rockwell Automation. Each presenter delivered best practices covering global safety programs, productivity, standards and machine performance.
