Vice President, Global Business Development
Joseph (Joe) Kann is vice president, Global Business Development, Rockwell Automation. In this position, Kann leads efforts to accelerate the global growth of Rockwell Automation’s businesses. His responsibilities include leadership in business partnering, driving globalization investments, and coordinating strategy development across the company.
Kann joined Allen-Bradley, now part of Rockwell Automation, in 1986 as a project engineer, Advanced Technology (AT) and four years later was named manager, Research Partner Program, AT. In 1992, Kann was appointed manager, Strategy Development, Corporate Development, and three years later was named director, Business Development, Industrial Control Group. In 1997 he was named director, Marketing, Logic Components Business, Industrial Control Group, a position he held until receiving his current assignment.
Kann has a bachelor’s degree in general engineering from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in manufacturing systems engineering from the University of Wisconsin.
